Philipp Maier is born and raised in southern Munich. He is a graduated master of photography (Fotografenmeister) and has been working as a freelance photographer and artist since then.

As can be seen in the work on show. Philipp has an affinity for analogue photography. He is fascinated with the process of slowing the frame down and thereby carefully choosing which images to capture. Furthermore he is trying to transport this kind of capturing images into digital photography as well.

Eye-catching framing and unexpected perspectives create a unique harmony. Through abstraction of people and movement, the compilation seems anonymous and therefore independent.
